Amazing handbook - I love it. A must-have for aspiring graphic design students, and great reference book for more experienced graphic designers and type design enthusiasts. It goes over all the type design essentials and provides lots of lovely layout and print examples. However if you are looking for something that goes in-depth on the history of type, you may want to look elsewhere. This book focuses on fundamentals and providing direction on creating a good, cohesive design.–• The book is large and hefty at 271 pages - a backpack book.• The content is designed beautifully and presents information in a clear format.• Very impressed with the sturdy binding and thick, good quality luster paper; colors are nice and vibrant.• Comes with a nice red ribbon bookmarkThe only issue I had was with packaging - the book got some corners smashed in during shipping, and it bothers me when quality books are noticeably damaged like this. Other than that, I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn all there is to know on typographic design.
The book is great! But mine came damaged and im really dissapointed since it looks as if it wasnt then it would have been awesome
