I just want to say that I bought these books for my 18 month old for a laugh (his dad is an engineer and I am a physical chemist) and now they are he only thing he will read. Until these, books were just toys he could be destructive with. My guess is the extremely simple illustrations in these books (white backgrounds with a single colored object) give him something easy to focus. He went from throwing books to pulling these off the shelf himself and pointing and “reading” to himself calmly. Lol! And yes I know the book is upside down in the picture but progress is progress!

This book and the entire series are incredibly disappointing. Compared to the Baby Loves series these books are absolutely awful. Yes, the concepts need to be simplified for a baby, but they also need to able to capture their attention. Seriously lack of effort by the author, a pure money grab. Do no buy.

As a mechanical engineer, i love the idea of introducing physics to toddlers. But this book jumps right in to gravity when there is SO MUCH MORE physics that could be introduced to kids first. Why not start with the simpler stuff? Motion, mass, acceleration, density, etc. Also, the illustrations are literally just a ball on every page with an arrow. Super lazy.

Maybe I missed the joke but this is basically cheaply made. My husband is a nuclear engineer so I bought this excited but it was like a computer print out booklet.

My daughter calls this book "Tonian for babies". These books are great to teach kids a basic understanding of scientific topics. This book breaks down very complicated things into terms that a toddler can understand which is not an easy feat. I feel like every book in the series is a great buy for any parent with a kid under 7, not just for babies and toddlers. I like that my daughter is learning about things that really matter for once and not just about what Queen Elsa is doing or other garbage. The price point on Kindle is great which allows most families to buy and read these books. All I can ask is that more of them become available on Kindle so that we can add more to our collection. These books help build small scientists which is soo awesome.

awesome idea but the illustrations are REALLY basic. Like a circle with a vector arrow is all that is on one page. My 18 mo old was kind of bored with nothing else to look at on the pages that he could recognize or point at.

I was so excited to receive this book and start reading it for my kids (all under 5yrs). However, I am so disappointed. The illustrations are so plain and I don't think are attractive for a baby nor a toddler. I wish if they have added some textured figures to the concepts they are explaining in the book or even more attention-grabbing colors. I know it needed to be easy for these innocent minds but there is a big difference between boring and straightforward.

As a former science teacher I understand all these books so they make sense to me but a lot of them in this serious introduce complex vocab with no definition of the new word. It is a difficult task to write about these topics for babies BUT it is done well. The rocket science one explained thrust and lift well. Just some are so complex it’s hard to explain in just a couple pages. This one was my least favorite so far, a fairly complex concept that is honestly hard to explain without models, I had to teach it to 8th graders and they struggled with it. Just be aware that your child might have more questions and just make sure you know what you’re reading about and can explain more if needed or at least provide examples.
