I bought this as a gift for my 16 year old son. I highly recommend it for any parent with a teenage son! He fills out a page or two and will leave it on my desk for me to find in the morning. Iâ€™ll in turn complete a few pages and leave it by his bedroom door. No words are said but many words are read.

Fun book/journal to encourage communication amongst mother and son. My son and I took turns writing in it and answering the guided questions. He was excited to see my responses and I his. It's fun and a great conversation starter for those of us with boys that aren't necessarily huge talkers. We did finish it relatively quickly. In a couple of weeks. I've recommended this book to a few of my friends.

Some questions are thoughtful and cause reflections on your own behavior as a mother (and the sonâ€™s complimenting questions give feedback on your mothering). Other questions are short and take literally 2 seconds to answer. Itâ€™s a nice range. None inappropriate. I think it would work for any mother/son relationship. Myself, am a step-mother filing for adoption, it works all ways for a mother raising a son. He absolutely loves filling it out and frequently asks if Iâ€™ve finished my part yet. He is 13. Wouldâ€™ve worked for maybe two or more years before being a bit too young for the audience.

Was fun to do with my grandson (who I'm raising), but we didn't finish it. Some of the questions were more juvenile than I expected. Actually I assumed there would be open ended questions that we could each answer and then discuss.

This is a really fun journal! Me and my 14 year old have been getting it out every once in a while. It is fun because we make it a mom son time and do it when no one else is around. We have skipped around the book some. I go back in and right somethings down after we are done so he can go back and see the extra things I put in.

Absolutely love. This book, my son loves this book.. Recommend this for any preteen or teen age boy.

This journal is great! It has brought my son and I closer as it asks questions you normally wouldn't think to discuss. Highly recommended for anyone with a young teenage son!

I do love this book but I think I purchased it too late for my son. He's to old for it but I would recommend buying for the younger boys. Jr. High and High School is harder to make this book totally effective.
